Why can't I connect to WhatsApp? |Steps To Fix Your Connection|
WhatsApp has acknowledged the outage in a statement to media outlets, saying it is aware of the issues and working on a fix. At this point, however, it’s unclear what the actual issue is nor is it clear when a fix will be deployed.
But you can try some steps below:
Steps to fix your connection for Android devices:
1). Restart your phone, or turn it off and on.
2). Update WhatsApp to the latest version available on Google Play.
3). Open your phone's Settings app > More > and turn Airplane mode on and off.
4). Open your phone's Settings app > Data usage > and make sure that Cellular data is turned on.
5). Open your phone's Settings app > Apps > WhatsApp > Data usage and make sure background data is not restricted.
7). Open your phone's Settings app > Wi-Fi and turn it off and back on.
8). Try connecting to different Wi-Fi hotspots.
9). Make sure Wi-Fi stays on during sleep mode.
10). Reboot your Wi-Fi Router.
11). Contact your mobile provider and make sure your APN settings are configured correctly.
12). Upgrade your Android OS to the latest version available for your device.
• If you are able to use WhatsApp on Wi-Fi but not on data connection, double check your APN configuration with your mobile provider. You must be able to send and receive non-web traffic in order to use WhatsApp.
